Life's a Bummer: Why You're Basically a Cosmic Accident
When you take a test, you can't get a perfect score. When you apply to college, you can't get into your dream major. When you fall in love, your crush doesn't feel the same way. When you work, you can't achieve outstanding results. When you want to have a baby, you find out you're infertile. When you finally have a baby, they turn out to be 'ugly and dumb'. When you have nothing to do, you're bored to death. But when you want to do something, you can't because of erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation. And when you want to live longer, you get cancer or some other terminal illness. And when you want to die, you end up living to be a hundred years old. Why is life so full of disappointments?
Well, the reason is that the whole universe is basically a lifeless system, and all sorts of elements collided randomly to create life. The universe has already exhausted all its luck. Being born as a human being is almost impossible, but it happened to you. Those carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, sodium, iron, and magnesium atoms that were randomly scattered throughout the universe for millions of years came together to form you. Those elements were originally waste products, so don't expect too much from them. Life itself is worth experiencing and enjoying. When you die, everything goes back to dust and the universe remains unchanged, as if you were never here.
So, why complain about life when you're alive?
