Temporal Evolution of Momentum Variance in a Quantum System: Analogies to Kicked Rotor and Anderson Localization
Figure 1 illustrates the temporal evolution of the model's momentum variance, exhibiting a linear increase analogous to the behavior observed in the origin kicked rotor model. Notably, the quantum regime displays a suppression of momentum diffusion, reminiscent of Anderson localization. As a consequence, the momentum variance asymptotically approaches a saturation value. For the purposes of this study, the period T0 and kick strength K0 are fixed at 4.5 and 7.5, respectively, and will remain constant throughout the paper.
