The dimensional emotion model provides a more detailed description of emotions and can differentiate different emotions using coordinate axes and numerical values. Compared to the categorical model, the dimensional model has stronger scalability and descriptiveness, and all basic emotions in the categorical model can be mapped to the dimensional emotion model. Therefore, for emotion recognition tasks, the dimensional model is more suitable for quantitative analysis of emotions.
