The dimensional model of emotions provides a more detailed description of emotions, using coordinate axes and numerical values to differentiate between different emotions. Compared to the discrete model, the dimensional model is more scalable and descriptive, and all basic emotions in the discrete model can be mapped to the dimensional model. Therefore, for emotion recognition tasks, the dimensional model of emotions is more suitable for quantitative analysis of emotions.
