Topdressing: How Sand Builds Up on Golf Greens and Impacts Drainage

This is what we call 'topdressing' in the industry, as well as other sand particles blown in from sand pits, and the color that doesn't gather in the low areas of the green. This will cause it to rise over the years, forming this barrier, so surface water cannot flow through.
