Topdressing with Sand: Creating Barriers and Affecting Drainage

This is what we refer to in the industry as 'topdressing' with sand, as well as other sand particles blown in from the sand pit, and the discoloration that doesn't accumulate in the low areas of the green. This will cause it to rise over the years, forming this barrier, so surface water cannot runoff.
