Drawing on the chain intermediary effect model and spatial model, our research reveals that intelligent development can effectively address the issue of human capital mismatch. Specifically, the condition of intelligent development, particularly the enhancement of infrastructure, has a significant impact in reducing this mismatch. This positive effect is achieved through two channels - income structure adjustment and factor flow. Regions with similar economic foundations can enjoy the positive spillover effect of human capital mismatch correction. However, proximity in geographical location can exacerbate the degree of mismatch, due to the 'siphon effect'.
