Assessing the Impact of Intelligent Development on Human Capital Mismatch: A Multi-Method Approach

This research utilizes a multi-method approach to examine the impact of intelligent development on human capital mismatch. The comprehensive evaluation system for intelligent development incorporates the entropy weight method for benchmark regression, employing both vertical and horizontal analysis, as depicted in columns (1) and (2) of Table 4. Furthermore, the study explores the development of enterprise-level intelligence by accessing the 'Enterprise Query' platform, extracting relevant information on intelligent technologies like 'intelligence', 'cloud', 'data', 'Internet', and 'machine learning' through Python crawler technology. The number of intelligent enterprises in each city serves as a proxy for intelligent development, with the results presented in columns (3) and (4). Regression analysis reveals a significantly negative coefficient of intelligent development at the 1% level, indicating that intelligent development exacerbates the mismatch of human capital. These findings underscore the robustness of the study's results.
