Taking Qichun Xingzhi International School in Huanggang City as an example, this study analyzes the impact of integrated teaching on students' learning enthusiasm, athletic ability, and overall development through research methods such as questionnaire surveys, expert interviews, and experiments.

The integration of physical education and academic subjects refers to the organic combination of the curriculum contents of physical education and other subjects in the teaching process, achieving effective penetration and interaction of multidisciplinary knowledge. Integration of physical education and academic subjects is beneficial for students' all-round development and the cultivation of their ability to apply knowledge to solve practical problems. Teaching methods of integration of physical education and academic subjects include knowledge infiltration, theme teaching, situational teaching, task-based teaching, etc. Integration of physical education and academic subjects is conducive to improving students' learning enthusiasm, cultivating their collaborative and innovative abilities, and laying a good foundation for their lifelong development.

This study mainly adopts research methods such as literature review, questionnaire survey, expert interview, and experimental method. A survey was conducted among 15 physical education teachers and 750 middle school students from Qichun Xingzhi International School in Huanggang City, and 5 experts were interviewed from the dimension of integration of physical education and academic subjects in middle school track and field courses. 150 students from three classes in Grade 7 of Qichun Xingzhi International School in Huanggang City were selected as experimental subjects, and an 8-week integration teaching was carried out. By comparing students' level of interest in physical education and endurance running before and after the experiment, the effectiveness of integration of physical education and academic subjects in middle school was analyzed.
