University Dormitory Fire Escape Plan: Second Floor Layout & Evacuation Routes

In general, there are two main stair exits for emergency evacuations on this floor, located in the Southwest and Northeast corners. Since the lift to the North is unavailable during emergencies, these stair exits are designated for students to reach meeting point 1 and 2, respectively.

Students staying in dormitories 1 and 2 should exit their rooms and turn right to easily locate the Southwest stairwell. This route also provides a convenient escape for residents of bedroom 3. Likewise, students residing in bedrooms 4, 6, and 5 can easily find the Northeast stairwell as it is right in front of them. However, those sharing bedroom 7 must first turn right and reach the corridor before finding the stairwell on the right-hand side.

Lastly, individuals inside the elevator during emergencies must first exit the elevator safely. The Northeast stairwell is conveniently located to their right.
