保护鱼鹰:两个少年勇敢行动的故事
He was going to row over to the ospreys' island! Mike and I couldn't believe our eyes. We had to do something to stop him from disturbing the birds. We hid behind the bushes and watched him carefully. The man put on a life jacket and climbed into the boat. He paddled towards the island, and we could see the ospreys circling above him, clearly alarmed. When he reached the island, he jumped out of the boat and started to climb the tree where the ospreys' nest was located.
Seeing him climbing up the tree, I knew it was the time to call the police. Mike and I ran back to our bikes and quickly rode to the nearest phone box. We called the police and told them everything we had seen. It was a relief to hear that they were on their way to Redman's Pools. In the meantime, we went back to the pools to keep an eye on the man.
As we hid behind the bushes, we saw the police car approaching. The man didn't seem to notice it and continued his climb up the tree. When the police arrived, they shouted at him to come down. He refused to listen and continued to climb higher. Suddenly, there was a loud crack, and the branch he was standing on broke. He fell to the ground, and the police rushed to help him.
The man was taken to the hospital with a broken leg, and the ospreys were safe. Mike and I felt proud of ourselves for taking action and protecting the birds. It was a lesson that we learned that day, that we should always stand up for what is right and do our part in protecting our environment.
