Actively Staked Cryptocurrency: What It Means and Why It Matters

Actively staked refers to the amount of cryptocurrency that has been locked up or held in a staking contract in order to participate in the blockchain's consensus mechanism. Staking is a process where users hold a certain amount of cryptocurrency in order to help validate transactions and maintain the integrity of the blockchain. In return for staking their cryptocurrency, users receive rewards in the form of additional cryptocurrency. Actively staked cryptocurrency refers to the amount that is currently being used for staking purposes, as opposed to the total amount that has been staked over time.
