ChatGPT in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry: Applications, Limitations, and Future Directions

ChatGPT is a language model that is widely used for its powerful semantic understanding and text generation capabilities, making it applicable in various domains. As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, ChatGPT is expected to accelerate the penetration of AI into industrial sectors. Currently, its application in the petroleum and chemical industry is still in the exploratory stage. This article focuses on integrating ChatGPT with technologies such as Beidou positioning and GIS map services, and analyzes the application of ChatGPT in typical business scenarios in the petroleum and chemical industry. It also summarizes the limitations of ChatGPT in this industry and proposes basic improvement strategies.
