从护理到公共卫生：蚌埠医学院学子跨考复旦大学的感人故事

Hello everyone, my name is [姓名]. I am currently a nursing undergraduate student at Bengbu Medical College and I have recently passed the entrance exam to study Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Fudan University.

I am a recipient of several academic awards such as the second and third place school-level scholarships, and have been recognized as an outstanding team member, volunteer, and class leader. I have also participated in a national-level innovation project, donated over 1000 ml of blood, passed the College English Test Band 6, and dedicated my time to volunteering at a nursing home and teaching left-behind students during my first and second year respectively.

However, I would like to share a story that has impacted me greatly during my final year of college. During the outbreak of COVID-19, I decided to donate blood as it was in high demand. While at the blood donation center, I overheard a conversation between a nurse and an elderly woman who had been waiting for hours to receive medical treatment. The nurse explained to her that due to the pandemic, medical resources were limited and she might have to wait a little longer. The woman, who lived alone and had no family nearby, began to cry.

Moved by her plight, I decided to approach her and offer my assistance. I sat with her, listened to her concerns, and helped her fill out some paperwork. After several hours, the woman was finally able to receive the treatment she needed. She thanked me repeatedly and told me that my kindness had made her feel less alone in a time of great uncertainty.

This experience has taught me the importance of empathy and compassion in healthcare. It has also solidified my decision to pursue a career in public health where I can make a positive impact on the lives of others. Thank you for listening to my story.
