Drug A Use and Drug-Induced Dermatitis: A Cohort Study on Association and Gender-Specific Risk

This cohort study examines the association between using drug A and developing drug-induced dermatitis. It addresses two key aspects:

(1) Assessing the effect modification of gender on the association: The study will control for gender as a confounder and calculate the association between drug A use and drug-induced dermatitis separately for men and women. This analysis will determine if the association between drug A use and drug-induced dermatitis differs between genders.

(2) Testing the hypothesis that females using drug A have a higher risk of developing the disease compared to non-users: A plan will be designed to test this hypothesis specifically for women. This plan may involve comparing the incidence of drug-induced dermatitis in female users of drug A to that in female non-users, adjusting for other potential confounding factors.
