Public Health Research Strengths: A Nursing Student's Journey
My research strengths are based on my education and practical experience in public health and clinical research. As a nursing student preparing for the cross-disciplinary entrance examination in public health, I have a strong foundation in healthcare and epidemiology. My involvement in a nationally-funded project, 'Self-management plan for COPD stable patients based on information needs,' provided me with the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and develop skills in research design, data analysis, and manuscript writing.
In addition, I have obtained the ICH-GCP certificate and participated in GCP training organized by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. These experiences have equipped me with knowledge of ethical and regulatory requirements for clinical trials, and the importance of good clinical practice in ensuring the integrity of research.
During my internship at the Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital, I had the privilege of attending small lectures in various departments. These sessions allowed me to observe how clinicians integrate theory with clinical practice and analyze case studies to develop appropriate interventions. I presented on one occasion and received positive feedback from the audience.
Overall, my research strengths lie in my ability to integrate knowledge from different fields, design research projects, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings effectively. I am committed to pursuing a career in public health and clinical research, and I believe my education and practical experience have prepared me well for this path.
