Nursing Student with Research Experience & Clinical Skills Seeking Public Health Master's Degree
As a nursing student preparing for the cross-disciplinary postgraduate entrance examination in public health, I've gained valuable experience in research and clinical practice. My involvement in a national-level research project on self-management plans for stable COPD patients centered on information needs has equipped me with insights into the importance of patient education and support in chronic disease management. I also led a community project on fall prevention for elderly people, which, although not awarded, has honed my project management skills and sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable populations.
I have obtained the ICH-GCP certificate and completed GCP training organized by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. These credentials have familiarized me with ethical principles and regulations governing clinical trials and strengthened my research methodology and data analysis skills.
During my internship at Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital, I had the opportunity to attend lectures and case discussions in various departments, where I learned how to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios and tailor interventions to individual patients. I also delivered a presentation on a case of a patient with comorbidities, which allowed me to showcase my critical thinking and communication skills.
Overall, my research and clinical experiences have given me a solid foundation in public health research and practice, equipped me with diverse skills and knowledge, and instilled in me a passion for improving health outcomes for individuals and communities.
