Nursing to Public Health: My Research Plan at Fudan University

As a nursing undergraduate student who has crossed over to the field of public health and preventive medicine at Fudan University, I am well aware of the advantages that my nursing background can provide me in pursuing this field. With a solid foundation in patient care, disease prevention, and health promotion, I believe I can bring a unique perspective to the study of public health.

My plan for the course of my graduate studies involves delving deeper into the areas of epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy, with a focus on the application of these fields to the development and implementation of effective public health interventions. I intend to gain practical experience through internships and research projects, both within the university and through collaborations with public health organizations.

Furthermore, I aim to utilize my nursing background to bridge the gap between clinical practice and public health. Through my studies and experiences, I hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence health outcomes and develop the skills necessary to design and implement interventions that address these factors.

Overall, my goal is to become a competent and well-rounded public health professional who can contribute to the improvement of population health and the reduction of health disparities.
