Why I Chose Public Health: A Nursing Student's Perspective on Cross-Disciplinary Studies at Fudan University

As a nursing undergraduate student, I believe that my background in healthcare and clinical experience will be a valuable asset to pursuing a master's degree in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Fudan University. My interest in public health stems from my desire to understand and address health disparities at a population level, beyond the individual patient level.

Additionally, my nursing education has provided me with a strong foundation in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and patient care. These skills will allow me to better understand the underlying mechanisms of diseases and how they impact communities. I am also familiar with evidence-based practice and research methods, which will be useful in conducting public health research and implementing interventions.

Overall, my transition from nursing to public health reflects my commitment to improving health outcomes for all individuals and communities. I am excited to further develop my skills and knowledge in this field and contribute to the global public health community.
