From Nurse to Public Health: Why I Chose a Career in Public Health & Preventative Medicine

As a nurse, I've witnessed firsthand the importance of preventative medicine and public health initiatives in improving overall health outcomes. I've seen the devastating effects of chronic diseases and infections that could have been prevented through proper education, vaccination, and lifestyle modifications. By pursuing a degree in public health and preventative medicine, I hope to contribute to the development and implementation of effective public health programs that can help prevent these diseases and improve the health of populations. Additionally, I believe that my background in nursing will provide a unique perspective and skillset that will enable me to effectively address the complex health challenges facing our communities.
