Nursing to Public Health: Why I Chose to Cross-Enroll at Fudan University

As a nursing undergraduate, I've always been passionate about improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. However, I realized that my knowledge and skills as a nurse were limited to the clinical setting, and I wanted to broaden my perspective and impact on public health.

After conducting extensive research, I found that the field of public health and preventive medicine offers a unique and comprehensive approach to address health issues through various strategies, including health promotion, disease prevention, and health policy. Moreover, public health emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, which provides opportunities for me to work with professionals from different backgrounds and contribute to a diverse team.

Furthermore, I believe that my background in nursing provides me with a strong foundation in health sciences, clinical practice, and patient-centered care, which are essential components of public health. Finally, I am excited about the potential to make a difference in the health of populations, and I am confident that pursuing a degree in public health will allow me to achieve this goal.
