Video Education Research: Influencing Factors, Evaluation Methods, and the Rise of Neuroscience
Overall, the field of video education is currently focused on two main areas of research: identifying the factors that influence learning outcomes and developing effective evaluation methods (see Figure 1). Researchers in this field have primarily focused on studying students, teachers, and video media, and have analyzed behavioral and physiological neurological data to identify ways to improve the teaching and learning process under different conditions. While behavioral and physiological research has been the dominant type of research in this area, there is a growing interest in neuroscience research, which has the potential to provide valuable insights for video education researchers. In particular, the emerging field of multi-brain research shows great promise for advancing our understanding of how video media can be used to facilitate learning.
