Multiple reflections do exist in the XX image, which is a common coherent noise in marine seismic data. However, recent studies have shown (see Lu and Vershur's references) that it can be used for seismic imaging and provide additional illumination. Therefore, to some extent, multiple reflections can also be considered as 'signals'.
