E City is an important node connecting the western Guangdong region and radiating to the southwest. It is located at the southwestern end of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, adjacent to the South China Sea and neighboring Hong Kong and Macao. It is bordered by Guangzhou and Foshan to the east, and Yangjiang and Zhanjiang to the west. The total land area of the city is 1,693.92 square kilometers, including 304,200 acres of farmland, with an average of 0.6 acres of arable land per capita, and a forest area of 1,083,000 acres. The coastline is 21 kilometers long. The city has 10 towns, 1 street, 151 village committees, 23 neighborhood committees, and a registered population of 503,800 people. Among them, the urban population is 252,300 and the agricultural population is 232,200. There are currently 484,000 overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, distributed in more than 60 countries and regions around the world, making it a famous hometown for overseas Chinese. In recent years, it has been named by relevant national departments as 'China's hot spring town', 'China's microphone industry base', 'China's microphone export base', 'China's performing equipment industry base', 'Geothermal National Geological Park', and the first 'China's winter avoidance and livable place'.
