Optimize Dock Operations with Genetic Algorithm: A Travel Salesman Problem Analogy

Analyzed various intelligent algorithms such as simulated annealing algorithm and ant colony algorithm by comparing the model with the traveling salesman problem, and selected the genetic algorithm based on the elite preservation strategy to solve the model after weighing their pros and cons. The numerical experiments showed that this model and algorithm could reduce the cost of dock operations by about 30% and improve operational efficiency.
