货物温度及样品取样情况说明
We have received your letter and would like to provide further clarification on some of the issues mentioned in the letter.
- Regarding the temperature measurement that experts were concerned about, as we boarded the ship, the unloading operations had already started and due to poor fluidity of the goods and a large difference in height between the cargo hold surroundings and the middle, we had to consider safety and could only test the temperature near the gangway. We used a long probe thermometer with a probe length of one meter. We conducted temperature measurements on some of the cargo holds on April 22 and 23. On April 22, we measured a temperature of 39.6 degrees at a depth of one meter below the surface of the goods in the rear of hold 4 (near the Australian ladder) where the top 2 meters of goods had already been unloaded (if measured from the top of the cargo pile, it would be a depth of 3 meters). Near the vertical ladder (where the surrounding goods had not yet been unloaded), the temperature at a depth of one meter below the surface of the goods was about 30 degrees. The temperature around the cargo pile surface within one meter of the ladder in the other holds was also about 30 degrees.
On April 23, we measured the temperature of the goods around the gangways of holds 2, 4, 5, and 6 again. At this time, the goods in hold 2 had been unloaded to a depth of 5 meters, the goods in hold 4 had been unloaded to a depth of 4-6 meters, the goods in hold 5 had been unloaded to a depth of 4 meters, and the goods in hold 6 had been unloaded to a depth of about 6-8 meters. We found that the temperature of the goods was about 30 degrees.

Regarding the samples, we further confirmed that 7 samples will be taken from warehouse 203, 3 samples from warehouse 206, and 11 samples from the silo. Three types of composite samples will be prepared, including severely damaged samples from warehouse 206, slightly damaged samples from warehouse 203 and the silo, and a comprehensive sample of the entire ship.

Regarding the testing, we have added the KOH protein solubility test as per GB/T19541-2017, as recommended by the experts. The price quoted by ITS for this project is CNY350, and the total testing price for the goods claimed to be severely damaged in warehouse 206 is CNY7650. If there are no other instructions, we will instruct ITS to conduct the test as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration of the goods and invite the consignee and lessee to witness the test according to your instructions.
In addition, we have just received an email from the consignee's insurance company, informing us that the goods have been cleared and the consignee will start transporting the goods from warehouse 206 to their factory in Langfang at 8:00 pm tonight, and the remaining goods will also be transported to the factory one by one. However, the consignee's factory has refused to disclose specific production plans. ITS has contacted the consignee and will continue to take samples of the goods that have not been sampled during the transportation. We will continue to communicate with the consignee to understand the production plan in a timely manner.
At the same time, in order to determine the losses, we plan to request the consignee to record and provide the following information.
