English Language Course: Develop Your Communication Skills and Cultural Understanding

This course focuses on English language knowledge and application skills, learning strategies, and intercultural communication.

Listening comprehension: Students should be able to understand English lectures, everyday conversations, and general topics in lectures, as well as slow-paced (100-120 words per minute) English broadcasts and television programs. They should be able to grasp the main ideas and key points and apply basic listening skills.

Oral expression: Students should be able to communicate in English during the learning process and discuss a specific topic. They should be able to converse in English on daily topics and make short speeches on familiar topics with relatively clear expression and basic correctness of pronunciation and intonation. They should also be able to use basic conversation strategies during the conversation.

The total vocabulary mastered should reach 2500 words and 400 phrases, of which 2000 words and 300 phrases are positive vocabulary.
