Data Sources and Methodology for Analyzing Robot Adoption and Patent Landscape in China

The data on robots is sourced from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) report, which extensively monitors the worldwide deployment and ownership of industrial robots in over 100 countries, classified by industries and applications. This database is widely regarded as the most dependable and authoritative source of information on robot research. The patent data is acquired from the China Wanfang Patent Database, with supplementary data extracted from the China City Statistical Yearbook, China Population and Employment Statistical Yearbook, and EPS statistical data analysis platform. All variables are subjected to logarithmic transformation, and Table 1 presents the descriptive statistics.
