Hard Thresholding vs. Soft Thresholding for Signal Denoising: SURE Rule and Threshold Function Selection

This paper has chosen the SURE thresholding rule and also needs to select an appropriate threshold function to filter out the noise coefficients of the signal. Comparing the denoising effects of the hard thresholding and soft thresholding functions (Figure 6), the result shows that the hard thresholding achieves the best denoising effect.
