SURE Thresholding Rule: Hard vs. Soft Thresholding for Signal Denoising

When using the SURE thresholding rule, it is necessary to select an appropriate threshold function to filter out the noise coefficients of the signal. Comparing the denoising effects of hard thresholding and soft thresholding functions (Figure 6), the result shows that the hard thresholding achieves the best denoising effect.
