Dear judges, teachers, and fellow students,

It is an honor to stand before you today to talk about the theme of this year's English speech contest, 'Great Aspiration, Great Us.' This theme speaks to the heart of what it means to be a Chinese student in the 21st century, and I am excited to share my thoughts with you.

As we look around us, we see a China that is rapidly transforming and modernizing. We see new technologies, new industries, and new ways of doing things that were unimaginable just a few decades ago. And yet, even as we marvel at these changes, we know that there is still much work to be done. We know that we, as the next generation of leaders, have a responsibility to help shape the future of our country.

So what does it mean to have 'Great Aspiration' in this context? To me, it means having a clear vision of what we want our country to be, and a determination to work tirelessly to make that vision a reality. It means recognizing the challenges that lie ahead, but also seeing the opportunities that they present. And it means having the courage to dream big, and to believe that we can achieve great things if we work together.

But having 'Great Aspiration' is not enough on its own. We must also be 'Great Us' - that is, we must be willing to take action and make a difference in the world around us. We must be active participants in our society, working to build a better future for ourselves and for those around us. And we must be committed to the values that define our country - values like hard work, innovation, and a spirit of cooperation.

So what does this look like in practice? For me, it means taking my studies seriously and striving to be the best student I can be. It means seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and gain new experiences, whether through internships, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities. And it means being an engaged citizen, participating in the democratic process and advocating for the issues that matter to me.

But being a 'Great Us' also means recognizing that we are not alone in this journey. We are part of a larger community - a community of students, of citizens, and of human beings. And it is only by working together that we can achieve our goals and build a better future for all.

In conclusion, I believe that we are living in a time of great opportunity and great challenge. As Chinese students, we have a unique responsibility to help shape the future of our country, and to be 'Great Aspiration, Great Us' in everything we do. With hard work, determination, and a commitment to our values, I am confident that we can rise to this challenge and build a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.
