In the case of a voltage level of 500kV connecting the power plant to the system, to meet the requirements of the 300MW unit's main transformer, after technical and economic comparison, choosing a three-phase transformer is more reasonable and superior. This is because a three-phase transformer has a smaller volume and weight compared to a single-phase transformer at the same capacity, making it easier to manufacture and transport. Additionally, it has higher reliability and performance stability, making it more suitable for use in power systems.
