Spring Frost Intensity and Crop Yield Loss: A Correlation Study
To address the issue of contradictory results, we have defined the intensity of spring frost occurrences to evaluate their impact on crop yield loss. Our findings indicate that these intensity factors increase with rising temperature anomalies. Additionally, our analysis reveals a positive correlation between the yield loss and the three intensity factors, as determined by a linear regression model for corn, soybean, and winter wheat. This suggests that the intensity factors of spring frost events are closely linked to crop yield loss.
