Significance of Linear Regression in Predicting Winter Wheat Yield Loss Due to Temperature
This study investigates the use of linear regression to understand the factors impacting winter wheat yield loss. The results show that most of the linear regression models have significances (p) less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant relationship between the variables analyzed and yield loss. However, the exception is the linear fitting between temperature and yield loss of winter wheat, where the significance does not meet the 0.05 threshold. This suggests that other factors, beyond a simple linear relationship, might be at play when considering the impact of temperature on winter wheat yield.
