Global Crop Yield Loss from Spring Frost: A Comparative Analysis of Affected and Unaffected Years

Estimating the global crop yield loss caused by spring frost events needs to separate the yields that spring frost events occurred or no happened in that year. This study examines the impact of spring frost events on global crop yields by comparing years with and without frost occurrences. The analysis aims to quantify the yield loss attributed specifically to spring frost damage. This approach allows for a more accurate assessment of the economic and agricultural consequences of spring frost events and helps to inform strategies for mitigating the impact of climate change on global food security.
