Consignee Data Confidentiality: Challenges in Obtaining Processing and Production Information

We recently encountered a challenge when the consignee politely declined to disclose any processing and production related data to us. This included sensitive information such as:

• Blending ratio: The specific proportions of different ingredients used in their production process.
• Storage conditions of the goods: How the goods are stored, including temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors.
• Daily output: The quantity of finished goods produced each day.
• Consumption: The rate at which raw materials or finished goods are used.

This lack of transparency can present obstacles in understanding the complete supply chain and optimizing processes. While respecting the consignee's decision, it highlights the importance of clear communication and data-sharing agreements within business partnerships.
