Compact Side-Pumped Laser Head with Ceramic Diffusive Optical Reflector

We have developed a compact side-pumped laser head featuring a ceramic diffusive optical reflector (DOR). The schematic of this laser head is illustrated in Fig. 1. It comprises a Tm,Ho:YAG rod, a glass flow tube, a DOR, and three pump modules. By eliminating guiding elements, we have minimized extra optical loss, resulting in a highly compact, rugged, and easily adjustable laser head.
