Cargo Inspection Report: No Seawater Intrusion, Possible Condensation Found

During the unloading process, we carefully inspected the condition of the goods and observed that, aside from slightly poor liquidity, no other visible abnormalities were found. Additionally, we thoroughly examined the hatch and observed no defects or signs of leakage. As part of our inspection, we conducted a silver nitrate test on both the cargo and the interior of the hatch, which yielded no reaction, indicating that no seawater had penetrated the hold.

However, upon opening the manhole cover to enter the hold, we discovered a significant amount of water droplets beneath the cover that did not react with silver nitrate. After questioning the crew, we learned that the manhole cover had not been opened for an extended period of time, and the sealing strip was in good condition. We suspect that the water droplets may have been caused by condensation or sweat.
