Please be informed that the discharging of the cargo began at 2250hrs this evening. Our surveyors were able to board the vessel at 2300hrs after obtaining the boarding pass. A visual inspection of the cargo was conducted from the hatch coaming under low light conditions, but no abnormal cargo was identified. Please refer to the attached photos for further details.

After communicating with the Chief Officer, we learned that the cargo was loaded from Brazil on February 11th and the vessel arrived at Huanghua Port anchorage on April 7th. The hatch covers were opened for ventilation several times during the anchorage, and no cargo damage was noticed at that time. The vessel then berthed at JIHAI Terminal on April 15th. During the customs inspection at 1200hrs, moldy cargo was noticed on the top surface and was subsequently cleared and transferred to the shore by stevedores. The crew estimated the quantity of damaged cargo discharged to shore to be around 15Mt, but they were not aware of the location of the damaged cargo after being unloaded.

According to the foreman, the cargo is being transported to the receiver's silo via conveyor belt, and the Estimated Time of Completion (ETC) would be on the night of April 18th, if AGW+WP. The discharging is currently in progress. As of now, the Consignee has not submitted a formal claim for the aforementioned damaged cargo.

At the Master's request, we will assist in addressing any alleged damaged cargo and any unexpected damage, provided there are no objections.
