Hello everyone,

My name is Kongzi, but you may know me as Confucius. I am a philosopher, teacher, and the founder of Confucianism, an influential school of thought in ancient China. I was born in 551 BCE in the state of Lu, which is now modern-day Qufu.

Throughout my life, I dedicated myself to the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of society. I firmly believed in the importance of education and the cultivation of moral character. I emphasized the virtues of benevolence, righteousness, loyalty, and filial piety, which I believed were essential for maintaining harmony in both personal and societal relationships.

I traveled extensively throughout China, seeking opportunities to spread my teachings and engage in intellectual discussions with scholars and students. I also served as a government official, where I advocated for good governance and the implementation of ethical principles in public administration.

My teachings, recorded in the Analects, have had a profound impact on Chinese culture and continue to influence people worldwide. I emphasized the importance of self-improvement, the pursuit of knowledge, and the cultivation of virtue. I believed that by embodying these principles, individuals could contribute to the harmony and stability of society.

Despite facing many challenges and setbacks during my lifetime, my teachings and philosophies have stood the test of time. I am honored to have had the opportunity to shape the intellectual and moral landscape of ancient China, and I am grateful to be remembered as one of the greatest thinkers in history.
