surah Al-fatihah

Surah Al-Fatihah is the first chapter (surah) of the Quran. It is also known as "The Opener" or "The Opening." It consists of seven verses and is considered to be a foundational surah in Islam.

The surah starts with praising and glorifying Allah, the Lord of all worlds. It acknowledges Allah as the Most Merciful, the Master of the Day of Judgment. The surah then emphasizes the importance of seeking guidance from Allah and acknowledging His sovereignty.

It also mentions that only Allah should be worshipped and sought for help, and that He alone has the power to guide humankind on the straight path. The surah concludes with a prayer for guidance and the desire to be among the righteous.

Surah Al-Fatihah is recited in every unit (rakah) of the Muslim prayer (salah) and holds great significance in daily worship. It is considered a means of communication with Allah and a way to seek His guidance and blessings
