In 2022, Klapproth et al. compared the scores of QLU-C10D and PROPr in a sample of German breast cancer patients. Although the two scales showed strong correlation, it was not possible to determine which scale had a better score in breast cancer patients due to the different measurement methods for HSU between the two scales. Chen-Wei Pan et al. for the first time chose the generic scale EQ-5D-5L as the reference scale and compared the measurement properties of utility scores from different country-specific value sets with QLU-C10D. The results showed that the QLU-C10D scale had better validity and was more suitable for providing health utility in economic evaluation studies for MDS. Bulamu et al. compared the responsiveness and convergent validity of QLU-C10D and EQ-5D-3L in post-esophagectomy patients with esophageal cancer. The results showed that the measurement properties of QLU-C10D and EQ-5D-3L were comparable, but the QLU-C10D scale was more sensitive to short-term changes in utility for post-esophagectomy patients. In summary, there is currently no research validating the measurement properties of the cancer-specific scale QLU-C10D using the Chinese value set in Chinese cancer patients, and no studies in the existing research have examined the reliability of QLU-C10D. Therefore, this study selected the generic scale EQ-5D-5L as the reference scale to better validate the measurement properties of QLU-C10D. The EQ-5D quality of life scale is currently the most widely used tool for obtaining health utility values worldwide, and the new version EQ-5D-5L has better measurement properties compared to the original version EQ-5D-3L
