The results from our study show that the velocity-shift BALs in quasars exhibit a wide range of acceleration and deceleration, which can be associated with various physical processes, such as outflows, inflows, and shocks (Ganguly et al. 2007; Hamann et al. 2013). The maximum acceleration and deceleration values we observed suggest that these processes are likely to be highly energetic and involve significant mass and energy transfer. The identification of these velocity-shift BALs and their associated physical processes is crucial for understanding the evolution of quasars and their impact on the intergalactic medium. Future studies that include multi-epoch observations and detailed modeling of these velocity-shift BALs will help to further elucidate their nature and the physical mechanisms that drive them.
