Early Morning Fishing Success! Blue Salmon Frenzy with Mick's Fishing Adventures

It was worth getting up at 5:30am today for our fishing charter! Bronte landed the first decent blue salmon 10 mins after we put our lines in and then they kept coming! \r\nWe went on "Mick's fishing adventures" charter, with another guy (from Sydney). 3 of us on a boat that can take up to 12, which gave us plenty of room. Mick was a typical "salty" character.......liked things a certain way, and his way certainly worked.\r\nWe were fishing in 2.5 meters of water - apparently there are no deep spots (or he didn't want to go that far out 🤷\u200d).\r\nOriginally we had planned on a full day tour, however the other guy was only half. By 11am, Bronte and I had caught around 26 fish and we were quite happy to call it a day (as was Mick who could get to the pub earlier 😂). Lots of blue salmon, 4 grunters (aka javelin fish) and a bream. \r\nBack at the cleaning tables we truly realised that we picked the best charter as most others were only coming back with a couple each - or perhaps we are just better at fishing!!\r\nMick said it's still a bit early for most of the Barra (which could be a line??!!!).\r\nBig bonus of finishing a full day charter in half a day is the afternoon nap 😊
