In June 7th, 2023, the renovation and upgrade project of 23 reservoirs in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, was nearing completion. The final three reservoirs - Renshui Cong Reservoir, Taihe Xia Kong Reservoir, and Baifen Reservoir - had completed their respective inspections, marking the successful completion of the entire project. This achievement was a testament to the hard work and dedication of all those involved in the project.

The renovation and upgrade of the 23 reservoirs aimed to improve their safety and stability. The main construction works included grouting the dams, rebuilding the dams' upstream and downstream slopes, constructing water supply culverts, overflow channels, and flood prevention channels, and carrying out slope treatments in the reservoir area. Through these efforts, the normal operation of the reservoirs could be ensured, and the safety of people's lives and property could be guaranteed.

Since the start of construction on May 8th, 2022, the Guangzhou Baiyun project had been committed to high standards and quality, steadily pushing forward with the renovation and upgrade works of the 23 reservoirs. During the construction phase, the project faced many unforeseeable challenges and difficulties, such as the impact of typhoons and flood prevention measures. However, the project's staff did not give up. They adapted to the situation through meticulous construction and rational planning, fully pushing forward with the construction schedule and ensuring the project's smooth implementation.

During the construction process, all units involved in the Guangzhou Baiyun project strictly adhered to their responsibilities, conducting strict inspections of construction works, material delivery, and other aspects in accordance with relevant regulations to ensure the quality and safety of the project. At the acceptance inspection meeting, the acceptance committee, composed of the owner, general contractor, supervisory unit, and design unit, listened to the construction management personnel's appraisal of the final three reservoirs' sub-projects. They conducted on-site inspections, discussed the quality inspection data, evaluation results, and acceptance conclusions, and finally unanimously agreed that Renshui Cong Reservoir, Taihe Xia Kong Reservoir, and Baifen Reservoir had qualified construction data and could complete all construction contents according to the design documents and contract requirements. Thus, they passed the sub-project acceptance inspection. Eventually, all 23 reservoirs successfully passed the acceptance inspection, receiving recognition and praise from all parties involved. This was a recognition and affirmation of the efforts made by the Guangzhou Baiyun project and its staff.
