Despite this setback, we were still able to conduct the initial draft survey with the assistance of the crew from 1710hrs to 2230hrs on the same day. We checked the draft readings of all six sides using a small boat from 1710hrs to 1750hrs on June 14. Based on the deductible liquids quantity provided by the C/O and the vessel's constant of approximately 300MT declared by the C/O, we estimated that the total quantity of cargo stowed on board was approximately 65,799.48 MT. This was 314.84 MT (0.48%) more than the B/L figures (65,484.64 MT). The chief officer's draft survey figure was almost identical to ours. Nevertheless, the final cargo quantity would still be determined by the final draft survey
