Abstract: Bridge geometry, as a discipline that studies the shape and geometric characteristics of bridge structures, is of great significance in modern bridge design. This paper explores the application and development of bridge geometry in modern bridge design through a review of bridge geometry and case studies. Firstly, the basic concepts, principles, and methods of bridge geometry are introduced, including bridge geometric form, bridge geometric parameters, and bridge geometric optimization. Then, through practical case studies, the application of bridge geometry in different types of bridge designs, such as suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges, and arch bridges, is analyzed. Finally, the future development and challenges of bridge geometry in bridge design are discussed, and some suggestions for improvement and innovation are proposed. This paper aims to provide comprehensive references on bridge geometry for bridge engineers and researchers, promoting the development and innovation of bridge design.
