Seawater Deck Washing Leads to Potential Fine for Vessel

A routine deck wash turned into a potential violation when the crew of a vessel used seawater for cleaning, leading to discharge into the sea from the starboard side stern. This action was observed by the crew of a nearby vessel who meticulously documented the incident through photographs and videos. They then reported the event to the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA), providing their real names. As a consequence of this report, the MSA officer is currently considering imposing a fine on the vessel in question.
