Rust Damage on Cargoes: Receiver's Concerns and Proposed Destruction

Please kindly note that the surveyor attended the joint survey at the receiver's factory on August 4th. During the spot survey, it was observed that various degrees of rust marks were present on the surface of all the cargoes pointed out by the receiver. The receiver expressed concern over the negative impact of moisture on the cargoes, emphasizing that it significantly reduces their service life and stability. In addition, the receiver stated that according to the factory's internal regulations, the presence of rust marks renders the cargoes unusable. As a result, the receiver plans to temporarily seal these cargoes and arrange for their destruction at a designated facility at a later date. However, the schedule for disposal has not yet been determined.

It is important to note that the receiver did not provide any relevant technical specifications or conduct performance experiments to support their claim regarding the shortened lifespan and insufficient stability of the cargoes. Without disassembling the cargoes and obtaining related data, it remains uncertain whether the internal components are affected.
