Dynamic Efficiency Analysis Using the M-method and Malmquist Index
To analyze the temporal changes in firms' efficiency, we propose the M-method. This method effectively examines the relative efficiency and dynamics of a specific decision-making unit over time. The Malmquist index is then calculated using the following equation.
